ABERDEENSHIRE CITIZENS' PANEL
Community Safety Survey

The 29th Aberdeenshire Citizens' Panel Survey has been completed and a report produced.

Nearly all (98%) Aberdeenshire residents who responded to a recent survey say they feel Aberdeenshire is a safe place to live. The results also show that, overall, levels of safety in Aberdeenshire continue to improve.

The five issues which stood out as top priorities were:
  • Anti-social driving
  • Serious and violent crime
  • Road safety
  • Alcohol misuse
  • Controlled drugs

Chair of Aberdeenshire Community Safety Partnership Executive, Willie Munro, said:

"There do remain some anti-social behaviours that continue to feature at the top of the list of issues that residents witness or worry about, including dog fouling, littering and anti-social driving and key agencies including Aberdeenshire Council's environmental health team and its roads team will be looking further at ways to address these concerns."
