Scottish Community Development Centre is about to go on tour!
SCDC are planning to deliver ten community-focused workshops across Scotland on participation requests, and we're asking interested community and voluntary organisations to help...
Participation requests are part of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act and enable community bodies to start a dialogue with
public service authorities about how to improve outcomes. An accessible introduction to participation requests can be read here.
SCDC would like to ask interested organisations in the community and voluntary sector to help us to host a workshop on participation requests for community organisations in their area. This would mainly involve helping us in terms of finding a suitable venue
and promoting the event to as many local groups as possible.
They are hoping to arrange workshops between February and June 2018.
If you are interested in helping to host a workshop, please
contact Andrew Paterson at SCDC on 0141 222 4837 or email andrew@scdc.org.uk.)
