Theft of Chain Saws and Power Tools Near Fettercairn
Police are appealing for information following the theft of a number of chain saws and power tools from a rural property near Fettercairn. The incident occurred between 5pm on Thursday 5th August and 8am on Tuesday 10th August 2021.
North East Division Crime Reduction Officer Constable Mike Urquhart said:
"Ensure all external doors are of solid construction with suitable locks or a closed
shackle padlock fitted. Hide the contents from view using protective grills on windows if
appropriate and ensure property is locked away at night or when not in use. Consider using
a property marking product such as SelectaDNA. This makes tools less attractive to thieves
as they are harder to sell and more likely to be returned to the rightful owner if they are
recovered by the Police."
