Theft of Quad Bike Midmar Inverurie

Police are appealing for information following the theft of a red Honda TRX 420 Rancher quad bike from a farm near Midmar, Inverurie. The quad bike was stolen between 9.45pm and 10.45 pm on Tuesday 22nd March 2022.

Crime Reduction Officer PC Heather Nelson said:

"I would urge those in our rural communities to always park quad bikes as close to your premises as possible, preferably out of sight from nearby roads. Remember to always remove keys when not in use.

"Quads and ATVs should be secured inside buildings with good quality padlocks and chains. Ground anchors or wheel clamps combined with an alarm are an excellent deterrent.

"Mark or customise your property so it is easily identifiable. This can deter thieves and also assist with recovery if stolen.

"Also consider tracking devices for high value vehicles and machinery and keep a record of all vehicles with photographs and serial numbers."

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or via the Contact Us section of the Police Scotland website www.scotland.police.uk/contact-us and quote incident number PS-20220322-3644. If you wish to remain anonymous you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
